May 14th, 2014: Oil on Board, 6" x 6". It's been really cold and snowy here the past couple days and everything's a little bit in shock (including us humans) but somehow most of us made it through. Our aspens were looking a bit wilted and I don't think it helped that I cut this off and brought it inside. It was a challenge to paint because the leaves kept wilting as I worked! In the end, this painting gives me this weird nostalgic, deja vu feeling... I can't put my finger on why.
